Rates and Policies
Registration/Insurance Fee:
This is a non-refundable fee due at the time of registration. $20 per family
Tuition Rates:
Fees are based on a 10 month season and are divided into equal monthly payments for each student/family. First month’s tuition is due at the time of registration in order to have your child confirmed in a class.
| One class per week | $48 |
| Two classes per week | $88 |
| Three classes per week | $120 |
Add $35 for each additional class above three classes per week.
Late Fee:
A $20 late fee will be assessed for tuition not received by the 15 th of the month (fees assessed regardless of holidays or classes missed).
Returned Check Fee:
There will be a $25 bounced check fee for all returned checks.
Payments:
You will not receive a bill for tuition unless you are late with your payment.
Payments can be made by cash or check (checks made payable to Joy of Movement Dance Center). Tuition payments can be given to the Director at class or they can be mailed to:

TUITION OR OTHER FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE FOR ANY REASON.
Student Resignation:
If a student is resigning from a class, written notice must be received or else you will continue to be charged tuition each month.
Missed Classes:
There will be no tuition reductions due to missed classes. If a class is missed, make-ups are available, but must be taken within 1 month of the absence.
Attendance:
Regular attendance and being on time for class is very important for your child’s dance education process. Please try to limit tardiness and absences and make the studio aware if your child will be missing class.
Dance Attire:
Students should wear proper dance attire to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Hair must be tied back for all classes and students should not wear any large jewelry. Please see the following dress guidelines below:
Preschool Dance:
Any color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers
Kindergarten Dance:
Any color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes
Ballet:
Any color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet
Tap:
Any color leotard, tan tights, can also wear dance shorts or jazz pants with a form-fitting top, tan low heel buckle tap shoes
Jazz/Hip Hop:
Any color leotard, tan tights, can also wear dance shorts or jazz pants with a form-fitting top, black slip on jazz boots
Studio Closings:
Please refer to the school calendar for days the studio is closed due to holidays and school closures. Also in case of inclement weather, please call 267.872.9405 for instructions as to whether the studio will close or remain opened for classes.
Additional Studio Rules:
- Please no gum, food, or drinks in the studio except for water and dry snacks
- Cell phones must be turned off and put away during dance class
- Joy of Movement Dance Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles
